I’ve been to the two Tampa locations of Burger Monger and was thrilled when my husband noticed a location in Safety Harbor/Clearwater. I have regular business in the area and I always have my five kiddos with me. I decided to plan my trips around $5 Monday burgers.
I hate eating subpar fats and things like eating foods cooked in peanut or canola oil not only makes me exhausted, but I will seriously get a sunburn very easily afterwards. I’m outside a lot, so, no thanks. Burger Monger cooks in a traditional fat, beef fat aka beef tallow. They also fry their fries in the same fat.
The Safety Harbor/Clearwater location is visually appealing and very clean. The eating area was spacious enough that I couldn’t capture all of it with my iPhone. The bathrooms are also very clean. How do I know? Well, my kids require frequent pit stops.
This time around I ordered our food to go. The food is amazing and is so full of flavor. They also have a gluten free bun that tastes great which is surprising, because most gluten free buns leave much to be desired. Wanna see some photos?
Note: The water views from Sarasota into Safety Harbor are simply gorgeous. They are just absolutely gorgeous. On the way back we spotted dozens of people parasailing and sometimes we see a dolphin or two.
This is the $5 Burger Monger with cheddar, grilled onions and pickles. No ketchup was necessary because of the wonderful, flavorful fat. It’s simply burger perfection. They are pretty large. For children, half of one is more than plenty.
We love their fries fried in tallow so much that we order 1.5lbs!
If you’re in the area, you’re in for a treat. Here’s their website that contains their full menu:
